Friday Night Fab Five: I Want It Now! Edition

When I was younger, I sometimes resembled Veruca Salt from "Willy Wonka and Chocolate Factory" whenever I would act...well, let's just say not as patient as I should. I admit that I am not one for delayed gratification, but I'm working on it! So this week's Friday Night Fab Five is all about things that I "don't care how, I want it now!" LOL Well, maybe not now but if I had a ton of money to blow and time on my hands, here is where they would go:

1. Atomic Cheesecake Studios

Stacey Barich a.k.a. Action Girl has a home studio in Maryland and she specializes in pin-up, Hollywood Glamour and similar style photo shoots. Her motto is "Celebrating the tradition of the Great American Pin-up" and her shoots look like SO MUCH FUN! She does hair, make up and wardrobe and come on, who wouldn't want to be a pin-up for the day? I've asked Chris if I could have a photo shoot here for my birthday, Christmas, Arbor Day and whatever other holiday I can think of present. So, who's with me?!?! (Plus, it's in Baltimore so maybe while I'm there I could meet up with some blogging friends! *cough*Jocelyn*cough*) I realize that this is not everyone's cup of tea, but it sure looks like fun!

2. Pikes Peak Wedding

When I was getting married, I stalked this site almost daily. I lived in Colorado for a while and LOVED it! I'm a Carolina girl at heart but would move back to Colorado in a heartbeat! We decided to get married here at home but I still look at this beautiful bed and breakfast and wonder how long we should wait before we renew our vows here. The packages include flowers, pictures, cake, so much more and what a scenic place to get married or renew vows! *sigh* One day...

3. These shirts from Think Geek.

You buy these in pairs and the hearts are your "health" (gamers will dig these!). Whenever you get close to one another, the hearts fill up! Awesome...

4. Ninja New York

The next time I'm in New York City, I'm going to be sure to go to this restaurant. Japanese food served by ninjas?! I am so there!

5. Jonathan Rhys Meyers

Yeah okay, so I don't actually want to buy him or anything but look, he's so pretty! Although I have to admit that I'd probably run if I ever saw him in person. He scares me a little...

Well, that's it for this week's Friday Night Fab Five! It was kind of all over the place this week, but hey, that makes it more fun I think! :P What is everyone up to this weekend??? I got a new amigurumi book yesterday so I'm going to see what kind of damage I can do with it! lol

Have a great weekend everyone!

  9. Hi Maggi
    Great post.
While our son is a grown up man we still
use the I want it now from the Willie Wonka movie whenever life and budget don't quite match up the way any of us want it too!
    Have a wonderful weekend.

  10. I love your fab fives!
We have a place about 1 & 1/2 rs away to do the same type of Pin Up shoot and I want to do it so bad!!
Just when I think we have the extra $ to splurge, here comes a bill we forgot or off to the dr cos someone is sick...*sigh*
I will shamefully admit it,my parents called me Veruca Salt for many of my latter teen years,I was a brat.I always told my folks it was thier fault, the Oompa Loompa song says so.."you know exactly who's to blame, the mother and the father"

  11. Love the fab five. Number 5 is the best. I loved watching the Tudors at least the first season. LOL. Great selection.

  12. Ninjas!!! Wow!! I am so there with you!

  13. Now that was an interesting list! Love it!

  14. Those eyes of Jonathan Rhys Meyers - they're disconcerting. That's what it is. ;o)

  15. Oh Maggi, I think we should go together and be pinups for the day, what a glamorous pair we would make......... Abit of soft lighting, my picture taken from a distance and if you squint I could be mistaken for a young Elizabeth Taylor.....Alright I will add to the above list, if there was a power cut and we were plunged into darkness I could be mistaken for a young Liz Taylor LOL! X

  16. Hi Maggi! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog. Love your fab Friday list. My hubby would so love for me to do a pin up photo shoot. He says the old time pin ups are the way women are supposed to look. He says models of today have boyish stick figures..... I love him so... ;)

  17. you are too funny....I would so do the pin up photo shoot....sounds really fun. Tshirts are cute, not too sure about dinner with ninjas...LOL...and just love your #5 in Velvet Goldmine. Take care, Sharon

  18. WHAT?? Why didn't you tell me about Ninja waiters BEFORE I went to NYC??? I totally would have checked it out. Bummer. Next time, eh? :o)
