It's Two, Two, Toot Times the Drama

Hi everyone!

I have to admit, I got pretty lucky in the first kid department. Toot is pretty cool: she started sleeping through the night fairly quickly, knows her numbers, her letters and likes to give hugs and kisses. But even the best kids (especially toddlers) have those "off" days. When she wants something and you tell her no, well...this might happen:

"My world is ending..."

And of course I'm the sweet, understanding sort of mother who takes pictures of her child's melodrama. I wonder where she gets that from? Hmmm...must be from her father. Later in the week, I took this picture after trying to explain to her that this is not a Democracy and she doesn't get a vote until she's 18 and even then it's just for the President of the United States.

"My world is ending...again!"

I try my best to be stern on the outside and not let her get away with tantrums but come on, this is funny. I'm not worried though, I'm sure she'll get this sort of drama out of her system and never do it again. Right?

...

RIGHT?!

  3. Ha! That first one she looks almost peaceful :) I have one of those dramatic kids ... but in her pictures you can hear her scream ... kinda like that face melting scream painting: "nnnoooooooooo"

Thanks for reminding me to smile at their silliness!

  6. Mmm hmm....she's getting it out of her system. I'm sure the drama will end soon. Would now be a good time to mention that I'm still waiting for my 14yo to get over her dramatic stage? Eh...maybe not. :)Cute pics as always.

  17. Seriously, snot bubbles and coughing fit here where I just laughed so much! Not a pretty sight - thanks for nearly finishing me off!

I know the feeling and no it doesn't get better. Take it from me where I have various stages (ages 3, 10 and 13) of IT's NOT FAIR, I HATE YOU, I AM A SLAVE IN THS HOUSE, WHY DOES NO ONE LISTEN TO MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Just think - only about another - what, 15, 16 years? Then you cvan either throw her oput or start charging her rent for the pleasures of her drama :P

  21. OMG! This totally reminds me of when my son was Toots age (he's 10 now). We were in the grocery when his fit began. He threw himself on the floor just like Toot. I proceeded to step over him and walk on. I mean, really?!?! Get this. He got up. Ran over so he was in front of me again. Then threw himself back on the floor and cried louder. EVERYONE was laughing in the store! Priceless.
