There and Back Again...A Crocheter's Story

Hi everyone!

My first test shawl for Vivid Fiber Arts is complete! I am SO excited to share this with you, I've hooked up a lot of things but I am super proud of this shawl. :D

This yarn was so nice to work with and the gradual color changes really set off the pattern (Goldberry Shawl pattern by MAD Cap Fancies).

And let's talk about those color changes! I've mentioned before that I'm a big fan of gradient yarns but as a crocheter, you usually end up with stripes of color not gradual changes that flow from one color to the next. One of the biggest things that has impressed me about Vivid Fiber Arts is that they've completely kept crocheters in mind and not only offer higher yardage skeins for crocheters (our projects tend to eat up more yarn than knitting) but also thought about the color changes themselves so we don't get a case of the stripes.

This colorway is called, "Morning Glory" and I think it's going to be popular! Anyone that is a fan of pinks, purples and blues will love it!

This was definitely a case of right yarn, right pattern. Both worked together so well! This shawl was a pleasure to make from start to finish. :D
